Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM)

Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (V4.0), Government of West Bengal, to provide for the meritorious and economically backward students of West Bengal studying at the Higher Secondary level, Undergraduate (UG) Level, and Post Graduate (PG) Level and above.

The scheme benefits students studying in regular mode of Class XI and XII, and at under Graduate level in Science/Arts/Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Technical / Professional courses. Post Graduate level students pursuing Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management. These scholarships will be sanctioned to deserving students on merit-cum-means criteria. [HS, UG Honors, PG, Medical, Engineering, Nursing, Paramedical, Diploma, PG.]

Documents to be submitted along with computer generated application form for SVMCM–

1.       (One) Copy recent stamp size colored photograph of the applicant duly attested.

2.       Bonafide Certificate from school/Institution.

3.       Attested copy of the mark sheet/certificate of the previous examination passed.

4.       Copy of the first page of bank passbook (where the account number and bank details is mentioned)

5.       Copy of Identification Proof (aadhaar)

6.       Admission receipt/semester fees receipt (current)

7.       A certificate by Hostel Superintendent and duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution showing exact date of admission to Hostel & charge payable to be submitted (if hosteller).

2.Oasis Scholarship https://oasis.gov.in/

Backward Classes Welfare Department and Tribal Development Department, Government of West Bengal, to provide academic scholarship for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Online Application for Pre-Matric Scholarship – (Class 9th and 10th) and Post-Matric Scholarship- (UG, PG and Diploma).

Oasis scholarship financially supports the students in their senior secondary education and higher studies in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Bed., and Med., Pharmacy, Diploma, PTTI, BVSc, and LLB courses.

Documents to be submitted along with computer generated application form for OASIS –

1.       Copy of recent stamp size colored photograph of the applicant duly attested.

2.       An attested copy of the caste certificate of the applicant (For post matric scholarship).

3.       An attested copy of the mark sheet/certificate of the last examination passed.

4.       Copy of the first page of bank passbook (where the account number and bank details is mentioned)

5.       Copy of Indentation Proof (aadhaar)

6.       Admission receipt/semester fees receipt (current).

7.       Bonafide Certificate from school/institution.

8.       A certificate by Hostel Superintendent and duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution showing exact date of admission to Hostel & Charge payable to be submitted (if hosteller).

Aikyashree Scholarship

The undersigned is directed by the order of the Governor to say that the Governor is pleased to start “Aikyashree- West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme for Minority Students” from the financial year 2019-20 onwards, to be funded entirely from the State Budget.

Students belonging to Minority Community (Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Parsi & Christian)

Students with minimum 50% marks in qualifying exam are eligible to apply.

Annual family income should be within 2.5L per annum.

Documents to be submitted along with computer generated application form for AIKYASHREE –

1.       (One) Copy recent stamp sizecolored photograph of the applicant duly attested

2.       Self-declaration of minority community by student

3.       An attested copy of the mark sheet/certificate of the last examination passed

4.       Copy of the first page of the bank passbook (where the account number and bank details is mentioned)

5.       Copy of Identification Proof (aadhaar)

6.       Admission receipt/semester fees receipt (current)

7.       Bonafide Certificate from school/institution

8.       H.A. certificate by Hostel Superintendent and duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution showing exact date of admissions to Hostel & Charge payable to be submitted (if hosteller).

4.National Scholarship Portal (NSP) https://scholarships.gov.in/

The national level scholarships include the scholarships offered by departments like the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Education (formerly known as MHRD), Ministry of Labour and Employment, and others.

Open for minority community students who are pursuing technical or professional courses at UG/PG level

They must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in previous qualifying examination

The annual family income must be less than INR 2.50 lakh from all sources

They must get admission on the basis of the competitive entrance examination or must have scored at least 50% in Class 12 or graduation (in case of direct admission).

Documents to be submitted along with computer generated application form for NSP scholarship–

1.       (One) Copy recent stamp size colored photograph of the applicant duly attested

2.       Copy of mark sheet (Previous class result & previous course result)

3.       Copy of the first page of bank passbook (where the account number and bank details is mentioned)

4.       Copy of Identification Proof (aadhaar)

5.       Admission receipt/semester fees receipt (current)

6.       A certificate by Hostel Superintendent and duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution showing exact date of admission to Hostel & charge payable to be submitted (if hosteller).

7.       Income certificate from competent authority.

8.       Domicile certificate (if applicable)

9.       Caste certificate (if applicable)

10.   Bonafide Certificate from school/institution.

11.   Copy of identity card of the workers (Beedi, workers, mine workers, cine workers, etc).
